Fuel Conductive Improver

// Product Overview

Sceptre's Fuel Conductive Improver is a specialized additive that prevents the buildup of static electric charge in petroleum fuels during pumping, pipeline transfer, and storage operations. The accumulation of static electricity during fuel handling is a serious fire and explosion hazard — our additive mitigates this risk by improving the electrical conductivity of low-conductivity fuels like aviation kerosene, diesel, and naphtha.

Our conductive improver meets ASTM D3948, DEF STAN 91-091, and MIL-DTL-85470B specifications and is compatible with all major fuel types without adversely affecting other fuel properties including thermal stability, flash point, or lubricity. It is used extensively in fuel terminals, bulk handling facilities, aviation refueling operations, and fuel distribution networks.

Key Benefits & Features

✅

Static Hazard Elimination

Raises fuel conductivity from dangerously low natural levels (typically 5–50 pS/m) to the safe operating range (50–600 pS/m) — dramatically reducing static ignition risk.

🎯

Aviation Fuel Specification Compliance

Meets AFQRJOS, Def Stan 91-091, and ASTM D1655 specification requirements for conductivity additives in Jet A-1 aviation turbine fuel.

⚡

Ultra-Low Treat Rate

Highly effective at extremely low treat rates (typically 0.5–2 mg/L) — making it economically negligible versus the catastrophic cost of a fuel handling fire or explosion.

🛡️

Fuel Property Neutral

Does not adversely affect fuel thermal stability, flash point, calorific value, lubricity, or filterability at recommended treat rates.

💡

Compatibility with Other Additives

Compatible with standard fuel additive packages including antioxidants, corrosion inhibitors, lubricity improvers, and thermal stability additives without interaction.

🔬

Long-Term Stability in Fuel

Remains dissolved and effective in stored fuel for the duration of the standard fuel storage cycle — providing continuous static hazard protection from terminal to end user.
