Biocides

// Product Overview

Sceptre's Biocide range provides broad-spectrum microbial control solutions for industrial process waters, oil and gas operations, water treatment systems, and preservation of industrial products and raw materials. Our biocides are selected for proven efficacy, regulatory compliance, and compatibility with the specific chemical environment of each application.

Our industrial biocide portfolio includes oxidizing biocides (chlorine dioxide, hypochlorite, bromine), non-oxidizing biocides (glutaraldehyde, DBNPA, isothiazolinones, THPS), and quaternary ammonium compounds — covering the full spectrum of microbial threats including aerobic bacteria, anaerobic bacteria (SRBs), fungi, and algae. Selection support and efficacy testing available.

Key Benefits & Features

✅

Sulfate-Reducing Bacteria (SRB) Control

Our dedicated non-oxidizing biocide program is proven against SRBs — the anaerobic bacteria responsible for microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) in pipelines and vessels.

🎯

Biofilm Penetration

Selected biocides combined with our biofilm dispersant additives penetrate established biofilms that protect sessile microorganisms from standard biocidal treatment.

⚡

Rotating Program Compatibility

We supply paired biocide programs designed for rotation — preventing the microbial resistance development that occurs with single-biocide treatment programs.

🛡️

Oil Field Approval

Our oilfield biocides are tested for compatibility with production chemicals, carry H2S safety data, and are suitable for injection into oil and gas production systems.

💡

Regulatory Compliance

Biocide products supplied with full MSDS documentation, biocidal product registration data, and environmental fate information for compliance and permitting purposes.

🔬

Cooling Tower Legionella Control

Our cooling water biocide program is validated against Legionella pneumophila — providing the documented control required by HSE L8 Approved Code of Practice.
