Corrosion Inhibitors — Industrial Water

// Product Overview

Sceptre's Industrial Water Corrosion Inhibitors protect metal surfaces in cooling water systems, closed-loop heating systems, boiler systems, and process water circuits from the corrosion that degrades heat transfer efficiency, reduces equipment lifespan, and introduces contamination into process streams.

Industrial water corrosion occurs when dissolved oxygen, carbon dioxide, acids from biological activity, or aggressive ions such as chloride attack unprotected metal surfaces. Our inhibitor range uses passivating agents, cathodic inhibitors, and anodic inhibitors — selecting the appropriate chemistry based on the metals present, water chemistry, temperature, and flow conditions in each system.

Key Benefits & Features

✅

Multi-Metal Protection

Our multi-metal inhibitor packages protect complex systems containing carbon steel, copper, brass, and aluminum simultaneously — preventing galvanic and individual metal corrosion.

🎯

Closed System Long-Life Formulations

For closed heating and chilling loops, our inhibitor packages remain stable and effective for up to 12 months between recharge — minimizing maintenance intervention.

⚡

Oxygen Scavenging Integration

Combined corrosion inhibitor and oxygen scavenger programs for boiler and hot water systems — addressing both oxygen pitting and general corrosion in a single treatment.

🛡️

Molybdate-Free Options

Phosphonate and azole-based inhibitor systems available for applications requiring reduced environmental discharge load — meeting increasingly stringent effluent trade consent limits.

💡

Real-Time Monitoring

Colorimetric test kits and digital photometer support supplied with all inhibitor programs — enabling on-site verification of inhibitor reserve and treatment adequacy.

🔬

Low-Toxicity Formulations

Our range includes low-aquatic-toxicity formulations for sites with sensitive environmental receiving waters or strict discharge licensing conditions.
